Caribou Thunder is seeking a Finance Administrator to join our team in the travel cards branch. As a Finance Administrator, you will play a critical role in the administration of over 12,000 travel cards. Complete Description

As a Finance Administrator, you will be part of a strategic-heavy office with a small personnel footprint but significant impact. You will work with autonomy and minimal supervision in a dynamic and complex environment. Your responsibilities will include overseeing credit card accounts, assisting in maintaining private industry partnerships, and supporting the administration of the office.

  • This position provides the opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders, including contract team leads, organizational partners, and private industry representatives.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Support and augment the contract team lead and staff through written communications, program management reviews, and collaboration with organizational and private industry partners.
  • Attend conferences in nearby states 1-2 times per year, utilizing personal vehicle or flight.
  • Present tactical activities related to card program administration and potential fraud indicators to office leadership on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Analyze program metrics to identify deficiencies and propose improvements to processing.
  • Review credit card transactional data and create trend reports using Tableau.
  • Utilize CitiManager and other financial tools to create reports and provide metric reporting for customer requirements.
  • Track and identify problem areas requiring additional training using reporting metrics and notify management accordingly.
  • Assist contract team lead and staff with day-to-day tasking to support long-range planning.
  • Document and relay status updates to team members.
  • Communicate issues and challenges to colleagues and management, escalating when necessary.
  • Support management in responding to internal and external auditing inquiries.
  • Assess ongoing training and mentoring needs, reporting them to the contract team lead and staff.
  • Stay knowledgeable about government policies and regulations related to travel and travel card functionalities.
  • Identify issues through data and metric trend analysis and reporting.

Minimum Requirements

  • Prior experience using internal banking systems and/or private industry financial tools such as CitiManager is desired but not expected. Training and/or on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality of work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar workflow management systems.
  • Knowledge of government policies and regulations related to travel and travel card functionalities.
