Position Summary

Caribou Thunder is seeking a Finance Administrator to join our team and provide comprehensive financial execution support to the directorate. This role involves diverse responsibilities such as financial policy guidance, voucher processing, General Ledger analysis, obligating PCS travel orders, and addressing complex finance inquiries. The Finance Administrator will operate in a medium to fast-paced environment, interacting with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant financial transactions.

Complete Description

As a Finance Administrator, you will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to provide finance execution support to the directorate, involving tasks ranging from voucher processing to General Ledger analysis.

  • Your role will require excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and policies.
  • Process vouchers and obligate PCS travel orders efficiently and in adherence to regulations.
  • Provide financial customer support, addressing complex inquiries and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Monitor General Ledger reports, identifying delinquencies and anomalies, and taking corrective actions.
  • Stay updated with Sponsor Regulations and Policies, interpreting and applying them to support the customer.
  • Collaborate with team leads, management, and stakeholders to address complex financial issues.
  • Assist in updating reports and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks, meeting expected turnaround times.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to interpret and apply financial regulations and policies.
  • Flexibility to work from Chantilly, VA, with occasional travel to McLean, VA.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and tools, including voucher systems, financial software, and Cognos.

Preferred Requirements

  • Intermediate-level proficiency in using financial systems, including the sponsor travel system, financial system, and asset tracking software.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling complex financial inquiries and providing customer support.
  • Familiarity with Sponsor Regulations and Policies.
  • Ability to analyze General Ledger reports, identify anomalies, and collaborate with stakeholders to rectify issues.
  • Previous exposure to team collaboration and effective teamwork.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in addressing complex financial matters.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing regulations and tools.
