Position Summary

Caribou Thunder is seeking a proactive and energetic Resource Analyst to work collaboratively with components throughout the organization and play a crucial role in the development and oversight of Proprietaries, Subsidies, and Operational Investments. The position involves providing guidance on corporate structures, business practices, and internal controls while maintaining financial data integrity. The Analyst assists with reporting requirements and contributes to unique operations that blend regulations with commercial business practices.

 

Complete Description

As a Resource Analyst, you'll contribute consultative and advisory expertise to operations that demand a fusion of regulations and commercial practices.

  • Your responsibilities encompass Proprietaries, Subsidies, and Operational Investments.
  • This entails advising on corporate structures, best business practices, and internal control implementation for effective oversight.
  • This dynamic role extends to supporting components in meeting mandatory reporting requirements for roughly 450 proprietaries and 200 Subsidies.
  • Operating within a swift-paced environment, you'll be an integral member of a small team comprising 2 - 3 Resource Analysts.
  • Your tasks encompass reviewing budget submissions, executing budgetary oversight, ensuring financial data accuracy in the proprietary management system application, and facilitating special authority approvals.
  • Additionally, you'll liaise with proprietary accounting services and contribute to operations management efforts.
  • Your proficiency in preparing written documents, collaborating on initiatives, and addressing customer concerns ensures successful outcomes.
  • Customer interactions might extend beyond the office, reflecting your commitment to this pivotal role.
  • Most of your work will take place in McLean and Chantilly, VA, adhering to a flexible schedule within core hours of 9 am - 3 pm.

Minimum Requirements

  • Basic/Intermediate knowledge of Financial Systems, Reporting Software, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Demonstrated comprehension of relevant statutes, regulations, and policies in resource utilization and budget development and execution processes.
  • Ability to conduct strategic planning activities and align with strategic goals of components, directorate, Sponsor, and Community.
  • Resourceful problem-solving abilities to address complex issues and taskings.
  • Proficiency in preparing written documents that are clear, logical, and tailored to the appropriate audience.
  • Collaborative approach in coordinating with components, ensuring data and systems compatibility.

Preferred Requirements

  • Familiarity with sponsor regulations governing non-traditional operations.
  • Experience supporting or closely aligned with clandestine operations.
  • Prior experience in sponsor processing of vouchers and certification procedures.
